This on-line training course meets all federal training requirements for employees removing VAT, and may be used as both initial training under the OSHA Construction Asbestos Standard and as annual refresher training for Class II work. The course is designed as an 8-hour training course as required by federal OSHA and presented in a convenient on-line format.
Both professional flooring contractors and building owners, as well as asbestos removal contractors would profit from having employees trained at this level for floor tile work. Most vinyl floor tile installed in the U.S. before 1981 contains high levels of asbestos. For this reason, federal OSHA requires that employers and building owners assume that all vinyl or asphalt flooring installed through 1980 is asbestos containing material (ACM), and treat it as such under the federal standard.
